Sarah Poole

Sarah is an Australian Lawyer, Registered Trade Marks Attorney (AU & NZ) and the Managing Director of Marquette IP.

Inherently believing in the power of a brand as the key digital asset for any business in the global age, I advise clients on unlocking and driving their brand and IP assets to achieve commercial objectives.

Sarah specialises in trade marks, copyright and brand protection matters, with a focus on identifying and protecting intellectual property for global businesses to ensure scalability and lack of market entry issues.

Her practice includes working across a range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including trade mark clearance and brand name selection advice (at both a local and global scale), trade mark prosecution, IP disputes and IP commercialisation.

Sarah has a particular specialisation in international brand protection and works with a large number of international companies on protecting and managing their IP in global markets, including in relevantly working with a large number of export businesses and App companies to safeguard their global roll-out programs.

Sarah also routinely expands on the practice of traditional IP law by providing consultancy to a number of innovatively lead organisations to maximise investment in intellectual property assets and safeguard the development of unencumbered brands – this includes ongoing clearance advise to brand and technology agencies, as well as broad appointments to companies wishing to scale their business operations globally.

Sarah is an elected Committee Leader of the International Trade Mark Association (INTA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Patent & Trade Marks Attorneys (IPTA) in Australia and New Zealand. Sarah is also a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia & New Zealand (IPSANZ) and MARQUES European Brand Owners Association.
