IP Innovators – Marquette IP announced as Women in Law Awards Finalists

We are delighted to announce that Marquette IP is a finalist in this year’s Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards for Innovator of the Year (Firm).

Ten finalists have been shortlisted for the Innovator of the Year (Firm) category, based on their efforts in developing and capitalising a new way of thinking or operating their business in the legal industry. Marquette IP is the only IP firm among the finalists shortlisted, being selected for its approach to servicing the B2B branding agency sector, providing invaluable consultancy services to their clients at key stages in brand naming projects, with the view to safeguarding the selection and investment in legally protectable and commercially clear brand names.

Our nomination follows the efforts of our Managing Director, Sarah Poole, over the past 4 years in working to bridge the gap between the brand protection and brand development spaces by building trade mark and naming considerations into the brand development process, at key crucial stages.

As a specialist IP practice that is savvy to the brand development process and understands the power of brands as commercial identifiers, Marquette IP’s approach aims to educate the wider business community on the importance of ‘getting it right’ and embracing IP considerations for quality outcomes, which ultimately value add to the shared client.

The Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards is a national law award that aims to showcase and recognise the women leading the legal industry. Winners across over 30 categories will be announced on 22 November 2019 at a Gala Dinner at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne.
